the cooking process of little girl

Ready or not....we will soon have a daughter!!!!

For the last 20 months my life has been consumed with little boy things!! Lightning McQueen, Buzz Lightyear and Woody, Cars and Trucks and Powerwheels. What will life with a little girl be like? My mom has told me that the relationship you have with your daughter will be one of the hardest relationships of your life. Our little girl will be here in July. July 17th is the due date and I will be 31 weeks this coming Monday. We have been so busy since our move from Texas that this pregnancy has flown by! Sometimes I think about how soon I will be holding a newborn, my sweet little girl. An angel and blessing and the most precious gift from god. I also think about how life is going to be hard adjusting to life with 2. For 1 month I will have 2 under 2. Will Jacob love his sister? Will he understand that she needs mommy too? Will he understand that I love him just as much? All of the questions running through my hormonal mind. I pray that I will find the strength to be able to keep up with my babies. Just like everything else, we will figure it out.

We have moved!!

I never thought I would not call Texas my home. Well, Texas is always my home however we are living in Florida now. We needed a change. Was it a risk? YES! It is very different here but we are settleling down and I have a chance to blog! Our house in Texas sold in December of 2010 after 3 closing dates. Albert and I both finished up work in Texas and we packed up 2 uhauls and began our journey. We have lived with Alberts family since January and we are ready to find our own place. We had intentions of coming to Florida and taking some time off to have family time. Time to catch up with Alberts family and also time for the 3 of us. We did not get as much time off as we would have liked because we both (thankfully) found jobs. The economy is bad in Daytona Beach and I have heard that it takes people a long time to find jobs here. We feel blessed knowing that through this journey, god has once again watched over us. So now we live about 10 minutes from the beach. The beach is beautiful in Daytona and it is a nice (free) place to take Jacob and let him play. He loves the sand, the water and the overall feeling of freedom when he is there. I love watching him play at the beach!
