All about Abigail.

How is it possible that you are already 9 months old? I remember so vividly the day you were born. It was rainy, I was huge and uncomfortable. I was READY to meet you! I was ready for Jacob to meet his sibling. You have been so much help to me in so many ways. I am sorry that you are a Floridian and not a Texan but you have loved being here. God blessed me with you and I learned that it was the most perfect timing. I was living in a new area, with no friends and not much to do. You and your brother both have kept me busy and distracted from getting too sad or home sick. I love that my parents are retired now and can plan frequent trips to come and visit you. This gives me so much to look forward to as well. Today was your 9 month check up and you now weigh 20 lbs and are 28 inches long. That means you have grown a full 8 inches in 9 months! You are not predicted to be a shorty! You have two teeth (on the bottom) and you are wearing size 12 months cloths, size 4 diapers, size 2 shoe. Your personality is really coming out and you are so funny! You laugh at everything, especially your brother. Your teachers names are Miss Tonya and Miss Flo and they adore you to pieces. You have the most beautiful smile I have ever seen and seeing you laugh NEVER gets old. You are almost crawling. You get up on your knees and you can turn every which direction and grab everything. Once you get on all 4's and try to move forward you plop on your belly. That doesn't really matter though because you can still roll and roll and roll to whatever it is that you are trying to reach. Your Daddy and I have loved getting to know you and love seeing the closeness between you and your brother grow with every day that passes. You are sleeping through the night now and you love your crib. Im so glad you do since your brother never did. I wake in the mornings to the sound of you babble on and on through the baby monitor. Then I walk in and see those big beautiful blue eyes peeking over the top of your crib railing. Your smile gets bigger as I near you and it is such a special time that we share daily. One last thing.....My favorite part about you right now is what I like to call THE CLENCH. The clench is when you are holding your baby and you go to hand them over to the teacher/daddy/grandpa etc.. and your baby clenches your shoulder as hard as those little 9 month sized hands can. YOU do this Abigail Grace and I love every single time that you do. It shows how strong the bond that we share is and it shows that our LOVE is an everlasting and infinite LOVE. No one can ever change that or take it away from us. Always remember, Mommy & Daddy loves ya and we are ALWAYS here for you!

my son, my soul, my everything

My Jacob Lee Carter. I love seeing that sparkle in your eye and that sweet smile you have. Thats all it takes for you to convince me that you must have another fruit snack. You wake up in the morning and you always want mommy to hold you first thing. You want mommy to carry you to the potty and then put you down on the toilet. You usually like to hold on to your lizard or frog while you sit there. Im so glad you are doing so well with potty training. Sometimes you go the whole night with a dry pull up! You go potty in the morning and then we put your big boy undearwear on. Getting dressed for school can be difficult but most days you do a good job. You like to wear Thomas the Train and Spider Man clothes. You are extra particular when it comes to your shoes. You love to brush your teeth with your Thomas the Train toothbrush and toothpaste. You like to use LOTS of toothpaste while brushing to get your teeth extra clean. You have been extremely into good hygiene lately! You do not like your hands to be dirty and you ask me for a baby wipe if they are the slightest bit dirty. You love when Abigail takes a bath with you! You like to get a bar of soap and rub it in your hands and then lather yourself and her too. It is the funniest thing. When you lather your hands up you say, "Yook (look) mommy, Yook at my gloves!" Abigail just stares at you in amazement of everything that you do. She wants to be next to you always. Right next to her brother is her favorite place to be.

Its been too long!

It has crossed my mind several times that I need to get back on track with blogging. Blogging is such a great way to keep up with things. Beautiful things like my babies. That is just my problem - Keeping up with everything! The day begins and I am up by 5 washing bottles and doing laundry (trying to stay ahead of the game) but I can never seem to get ahead. I guess this is just how it is when your have a 2 year old and an 8 month old. And really thats just how it has to be right now. Im fine with that because they are worth it and I am worth it. Our FAMILY is worth it.
